Title: How is spray foam insulation used?
Post by: briensmith on March 21, 2018, 01:58:42 pm
Spray insulation is often used where access is restricted or if the client wishes to help bond two leaves of brickwork together. Inner and outer for example can be effectively stuck together using a spray foam. the foam takes moisture from the air to cure it and catalyze its expansion. Domestically it is often used in the attic. Here it can be applied to the underside of the slates / tiles. You must be careful however. Don’t think for example that insulating both the sloped part of a roof and the horizontal that you will make a super efficient space. This approach to insulation can lead to mold growth, condensation and a sick building.
