On a recent holiday with my own family to a caravan park on the shore of Loch Ness in Scotland my kids didn't want to go home. They had canoeing, snorkelling, making monsters out of clay, a play area and all kinds of activities to keep them occupied. For us adults there was a shop, bar, eatery and plenty guided tours of nearby Urquhart Castle and the rest of Loch Ness. That was our first holiday of this kind in 10 years and it was an experience I look forward to repeating.
